GCSE Foundation

180 pupils had some homework to do for the following day.

(a) Use this information to complete the frequency tree.

The 37th Wolverhampton Sea Scouts make a game for a fund raising event.

Players can win money by picking a golden ticket from a pot.

A player chooses a pot by picking a green ball or an orange ball out of a bag.

The game is played 500 times altogether and the frequency tree shows some of the outcomes.

The Scouts make a profit of £350 from this game.

(c) Work out how much it costs players to have one go at this game.

GCSE Higher

46 adults and 52 children visit a bowling alley.

36 of these people have their own bowling shoes.

Five times as many adults as children have their own bowling shoes.

(a) Complete the frequency tree.

(b) The cost of admission to the bowling alley is reduced by 25% if you have your own bowling shoes. If the discounted cost is £8.40, what is the full cost of admission for those who don't have their own bowling shoes?
